A very entertaining mystery. It brought to mind the work of Raymond Chandler, if he had set his stories in today's London instead of the Los Angeles of his day. It views society (including the police) with the sort of jaundiced eye he did and the plot is full of the sort of twists and coincidences that he so often wrote.

At first, it seems to be concluding with a quite Chandleresque denoument but then it veers off into a quite different sort of ending. The acting was all quite good, especially the three principals. I didn't have any trouble at all with the accents and while a few bits of British slang were unfamiliar to me they were pretty clear from the context. A very good entertainment.
